what keeps me chasing that creative life?
Most of the time in my creative process I am alone. Some people may think that is lonely. However at times I feel most edge when I am around people. What I mean by this is not that I don’t like socialising or being around people. I love my quality time and special moments with the ones I cherish. However, when it comes to my work, what lights me on fire and somewhat gets me up in the morning, to have something to look forward to, to work on. I’m actually most excited and happy when I am alone working on my work. It’s where I feel most me, most understood, and finally, it’s where I can feel the gears moving, and everything aligning.
Through all the failure and set backs, I often wonder why I keep trying, well it’s probably the profound naivety and believe that it’s going to work out. In fact I’m too stubborn to let myself not achieve it. The fact that I’ve been given this gift that not only makes me the happiest but others to feel a connection also. I just have to create to speak my heart and soul. Films and music has always been an anchor for me to regroup and come back to myself. Art speaks to me like no other. It’s my calling.
